Yes, I love you
I said
looking into his eyes
He stared with intensity into my eyes
Left to right, right to left, left to right, right to left
Almost forcing me to join his insanity
I said, I love you again to convince myself
as much as to convince him
and I did...
love him
But I did not need him
And he was not asking me to love him
He was asking me to need him and
I don't need anybody

Powerful... and empowering as well.
For such a short poem, it's very soulful. I found it reached inside me and pulled out some courage. Again, you really know how to end a poem. The last line is the one that makes your head rock back and say "Damn, girl"! Beautiful poem!
